Date: Wednesday, April 17, 2024 Time: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM Venue: CACI Main Conference Room, 6240 Guardian Gateway, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD Join the AOC APG-Susquehanna Roost Chapter for our April Lunch and Learn event, “Using Python in Signal Processing & Data Science Applications.” Mr. Charles Boncelet will discuss the use of Python in signal processing and data science applications. The talk will demonstrate Python and some of its important libraries, in particular, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, and pandas. Jupyter notebooks will be used throughout. Examples will include sampling and aliasing, spectral analysis, image processing, linear and logistic regression, and (possibly) some machine learning. Presenter: Mr. Charles Boncelet, University of Delaware Charles Boncelet is a graduate of Cornell and Princeton Universities and has been on the faculty at the University of Delaware since 1984. He has held visiting positions at the University of Michigan, the Tampere University of Technology (Tampere, Finland), the Australian Defence Force Academy (Canberra, Australia), the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (Chengdu, China), and the DOE’s Idaho National Laboratory. He has authored or co-authored over 100 publications in peer reviewed journals and conferences, three patents, and a textbook. He is a Life Senior member of the IEEE Signal Processing, Communications, and Information Theory Societies and is a member of SIAM. Additional Information:
